This picturesque island, a crossroads of many civilizations, enjoys a pleasant climate all year round. It comprises of rural landscapes mixed with prehistoric temples, medieval cities and numerous monuments from the period of the Knights of the Order of St John.

International Airport and driven by a private vehicle to the selected Hotel.

Breakfast at the selected Hotel. Our guided tour through the vibrant streets of Valletta will allow you to discover the beauty and charm of the fortified city built by the Knights in 1566. The Order of St. John ruled the islands for 268 years and left a unique cultural legacy of which Valletta is the best example. First we visit the Co-Cathedral of St John the Baptist adorned with riches from the time of the Knights of Malta is a must. Here you can also see 2 paintings by the famous Italian Renaissance artist Caravaggio.
Continuing with a walk around in the narrow streets and between other buildings of historical importance. Also you can find presious shops and restaurants. The group will have free time for lunch.After lunch we enjoy a breathtaking view of the Grand Harbour from the Upper Barrakka Gardens.
A spectacular lift leads from the garden to the harbour, from where the group crosses with a “dghajsa”, a typical Maltese boat to view the beauty and wonders of this natural harbour. The boat is only available in good weather with no waves and no wind.
In the afternoon after cruising the harbour with the traditional boat, we arrive in Birgu (Vittoriosa) where we visit the Inquisitor’s Palace and the St Laurance Church and stroll through the narrow streets of the medieval city of Birgu in the shadow of palaces and churches, listening to the historical explanation of the guide. The group continues to discover by the bus the area known as the Three Cities – Victoriosa, Cospicua and Senglea as well as the Cottonera Line. We stop at Senglea, next to the magnificent guard tower where we can admire again the spectacular Grand Harbour of Malta.

Breakfast at the selected Hotel. We start the day the South of Malta. The first stop on the south is at the Megalithic Temples in Hagar Qim, one of the most impressive and important prehistoric sites in the world. These temples are the oldest known free-standing monuments in the world and are located on a hill where one can enjoy the splendid view of the sea and also the islet of Filfla. We continue at the Blue Grotto, famous for its crystal clear waters and the beautiful views, we make a stop at the viewpoint. Should the weather allow, a boat tour can be organized to discover caves and arcs which are only visible from the sea.
From here the group passes the local vineyards to the idyllic fishing village of Marsaxlokk, where we have free time to walk along the sea promenade and visit the main square of the village. In the harbour we can see the typical boats called “luzzus” painted in classic colours that enliven this quiet bay, rich in history as it was here that the Turkish and French troops landed. Here the group will have free time to walk around the port and have lunch in local restaurants.
After lunch the tour continues to the center of the island to visit the antik capital city and the surrounding area.
A short walking tour in Rabat. Its name is of Arabic origin, means suburb. A wealth of treasures were found under the streets of this historic village. One of these is St Paul’s Grotto. It is believed that when his ship crashed onto Malta he was kept here for 3 months. The visit includes a tour of this spiritual place, as well as a walk through shelters dating back to the World Wars. The day continues with a walking tour in Mdina and leads through the narrow streets of the “Silent City”. A highlight here is the Cathedral of St. Paul, Patron Saint of the island of Malta which we will observe from outside. The visit goes as far as the bastions from where one can see almost the whole island. We leave Mdina through the “Gate of the Greeks”.

Breakfast at the selected Hotel. Departure by bus to the north of Malta. We take the ferry to the island of Gozo and arrive in the harbour of Mgarr after a beautiful 20 minute crossing. Gozo has a character all of its own, Gozo is greener and more picturesque than Malta with a history more than 4000 years. During this tour we will visit the church in Xewkija, the Temples of Ggantija, Victoria, the capital of the island of Gozo, the Citadella and the Cathedral. Free time for lunch will take place either in the centre of Victoria with full of nice and shaded restaurant terraces, or close to the salt pans in Marsalforn. After lunch we continue to visit Dwejra with the inland sea and the beautiful Sanctuary of Ta’ Pinu. Gozo is full of countryside and the atmosphere is very peaceful. Return to Malta by ferry and then back to the hotel by bus.
