On arrival at Bhopal airport/railway station, you will be received and transferred to your hotel. Check in at the hotel and rest for some time. Thereafter, be ready to leave for the local sightseeing tour of Bhopal. In our day tour, we will be exploring the places like INDIRA GANDHI RASHTRIYA MANAV SANGRAHALAYA, which is the only museum that has painted rock shelters. Also visit VAN VIHAR NATIONAL PARK, TAJ-UL-MASJID, LOWER LAKES, UPPER LAKE (also known as “the Bhopal Beauty” is the largest artificial lake in Asia and where you can enjoy bracing on speedboats or go cruising), MOTI MASJID, SADAR MANZIL and MP TRIBAL MUSEUM (Closed on Monday).
Later in the evening, we will pay a visit to GAUHAR MAHAL, dated back in 1816 and belongs to the Nawabs of Bhopal. Also, we will be exploring the famous CHOWK BAZAAR, lined up with havelis and other bazaars. By late evening, we will return back to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
BHOPAL – It is the capital of Madhya Pradesh state of India, is well known as the “City of Lakes” for its various artificial as well as natural lakes. It is one of the greenest cities in India. The city portrays a perfect blend of modern urban planning, scenic beauty and old historic values.
Today you will be visiting the SANCHI STUPA. After breakfast, we will hit the road in the morning heading towards Sanchi. On the way to Sanchi, you will pass through the town of Dewanganj, Salamatpur and other small villages.
About 46 kilometres northeast of Bhopal lies the SANCHI STUPA, A UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE, and a landmark structure in tracing the evolution of Indian architecture starting with the Maurya period. Sanchi is unique for having the most perfect and well-preserved Buddhist stupas. The remains of Buddhist saints Sariputra and Mahamodgilya are also preserved here.
After Sanchi, you will visit UDAYGIRI CAVES, about 15 kms from Sanchi, close to the town of Vidisha. Udaygiri caves are rock-cut cave shrines, dating from 320-600 A.D.
You will come back to Bhopal in the evening and staying in Bhopal tonight.
This morning, you take a transfer to your next destination, PACHMARHI. Drive towards Pachmarhi, which is located at a distance of 210 km. Enroute pay a visit to the BHOJPUR TEMPLE, another famous heritage site worshipping Lord Shiva. Proceed for a visit to BHIMBETKA CAVES. The prehistoric caves are listed among UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India.
Later, continue with a drive to Pachmarhi. Upon reaching, check in at your hotel for overnight stay.
PACHMARHI is a hill station in Madhya Pradesh discovered by a British Army officer, Capt. James Forsyth in 1857. This hill town is located around 1100m above sea level and is set amidst Satpura Mountain ranges. Experience the breathtaking beauty of the nature of this small town. Visit ancient hilly caves and soak in the scenic views of the nearby town from the vantage points.
Today we will have full day guided tour of Pachmarhi with visiting BEE FALL, known as Jamuna Prapat, the Bee fall is located 3 km from the town and provides drinking water to Pachmarhi is famous for its bathing pools and spectacular backdrop. Afterwards, explore the places like PANDAVA CAVES, HANDI KHOH, JATASHANKAR, MAHADEO HILL, DHOOPGARH SUNSET POINT, which is the most famous palace. Evening free and stay at hotel.
Morning after breakfast move for Jabalpur. En-route visit BHEDAGHAT. At Bhedaghat, you will explore wonderful places – CHAUSATH YOGINI TEMPLE, DHUANDHAR WATERFALL, BHEDAGHAT BOATING POINT and MARBLE ROCKS. We will witness an awesome spectacle of nature where the majestic huge stones form a valley and the River Narmada silently makes its way through. The rocks rise to about hundred feet height on either sides of the River Narmada. Further continue drive to Jabalpur. On arrival check in at the hotel and relax for the rest of the night.
