Starting and ending in Chandigarh, this Spiti Valley tour is designed for travelers looking for an authentic and comprehensive Spiti Valley holiday. This tour goes through the lush green valleys of Kinnaur and, into the brown Badlands of Spiti Valley and descends into Manali.
Your trip will start right from Chandigarh Airport, where you will be welcomed by our representative to start the journey to Narkanda. Enroute you can visit to KUFRI. Kufri is worth seeing with the peaceful environment all around. Next we will proceed to Narkanda. Dinner at Hotel, spend your night at Narkanda
Post breakfast transfer to local sightseeing.
KALPA is a small village in the Sutlej river valley, above RECKONG PEO in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, Northern India, in the Indian Himalaya. Inhabited by Kinnauri people and known for its apple orchards. Dinner and overnight stay
Morning after breakfast we will proceed to TABO VILLAGE.
We will cross the KHAB (Convergence of Spiti and the Satluj Rivers) through Hindustan Tibet Highway. You will witness the LEO PURYGAL PEAK from the Khab Bridge. In the afternoon, after your lunch at NAKO VILLAGE, we will get into the Spiti Valley by way of Sumdo.
Now to see something interesting we will move towards the GEYU VILLAGE to see the 500 year old Mummy and travellers enjoy this place a lot.
In the evening we will reach TABO VILLAGE. There will be a home stay and it’s a great chance to talk to the people and have delicious homemade food in Spiti. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel
Today morning we will visit the TABO MONASTERY. This Monastery is also known as the “Ajanta of Himachal Pradesh”. It has some remarkable paintings and sculptures. After that we will head to Pin Valley where the homes are made up of mud. This place is also known as Mud village.
You can take a small break there and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere with tea or snacks (at own).
After that, proceed to DHANKAR VILLAGE which is the oldest capital of Spiti Valley. Dhankar village is famous for DHANKAR MONASTERY and DHANKAR LAKE (Optional – To reach Dhankar Lake, you need to trek for one and half hours from Dhankar Monastery. Up and down time for Dhankar Lake trek is 3 to 4 Hrs. Dhankar Lake is best loved for its solitude. You will also get an outstanding view of the Manerang Pass range).
Then we will proceed to Kaza in the evening. After a tiring day, stay and dinner at the hotel in Kaza
Today we have a full day of sightseeing. After breakfast we will proceed to the world’s famous KEY MONASTERY that is 12 kms from Kaza. Then, we will visit HIKKIM VILLAGE which has the World’s Highest Post Office and the World’s Highest Polling Station. In the post office you can send yourself a letter to keep this memory of the Spiti tour.
Now, we will travel to LANGZA from HIKKIM. It is known for the huge Buddha Statue which actually makes the Spiti Valley look even more beautiful. This place is 16 kms from Kaza.
The place will be the KOMIC VILLAGE; it is the world’s highest village at a height of 15,027 feet. You can spend time in Tangyud Monastery which is admired by the travellers because it was constructed to be a fortified castle; it also has enormous slanted mud walls and battlements.
We will go back to Kaza after this by evening and stay there overnight.
After breakfast we proceed to the CHANDRATAL LAKE through the Chicham Bridge and Kunzum Pass. KUNZUM PASS is a doorway for the travellers to heavenly places including Lahaul and Spiti. After you arrive there take rest near the lake which is at an altitude of 14,000 ft so it will be cold there, wear warm clothes and enjoy the breath-taking views.
Then we will be staying in Chandratal Lake Camps in the night which is 2.5 km away from the lake. Dinner and overnight stay at camp
Today after breakfast we will travel to Manali via the ATAL TUNNEL. During the journey we will cross the areas of Spiti Valley like BATAAL, CHATRU AND GRAMPHU.
Today we will also visit Solang Valley, which is famous for adventure activities like Paragliding, Zorbing, Gondola or the Solang Ropeway etc (at own cost).
After exploring Solang Valley, in the evening we will reach Manali. Overnight stay and dinner at Hotel in Manali
This morning visit HIDIMBA TEMPLE, MANU MANDIR, VASHISTH TEMPLE AND HOT WATER SULPHUR SPRINGS, CLUB HOUSE, BUDDHIST MONASTERIES and NAGGAR ART GALLERY. Afternoon free for shopping; Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Manali
After breakfast, depart for Chandigarh by road visiting KULLU TOWN, KASOL and MANIKARAN SAHIB.
Manikaran is an important site for Sikhs and is famous for the MANIKARAN SAHIB GURUDWARA and THE HOT WATER SPRINGS. You can enjoy RIVER RAFTING in Parvati River of Kasol, it is a great experience. It is fun and adventurous, but it is also majestically beautiful. Later continue drive to Chandigarh, we shall drop you at Chandigarh Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey
