Itinerary

Day 1AMMAN APT – AMMAN - OVERNIGHT

Meet & assist upon arrival to Amman Airport by Royal Tours Representative who will assist in visa formalities and customs, meet with our guide who will be waiting at the waiting area after customs, load the bags in our bus, transfer to Amman, Hotel for Check inn, & overnight.

Day 2AMMAN – MADABA – NEBO – PETRA

After Breakfast, proceed to visit Madaba & Mount Nebo, then on to Petra, overnight at the hotel.

MADABA

South of Amman proudly stands the “City of Mosaics”, Madaba, perched on an archaeological site with more than 4000 years of history buried beneath it.  The quality and quantity of mosaic flooring has made Madaba one of the most prominent cities in the world for mosaics. St. George’s Church houses the world famous mosaic floor depicting a large mosaic map of Palestine. Centrally located on this mosaic floor is a detailed map of Jerusalem as it was during the sixth century AD. At the Church of the Apostles, at the south end of the city, is a mosaic floor attributed to the craftsman Salamanios, depicting the Sea, with the central figure of a woman encircled with a selection of creatures, vegetation and an inscription

MOUNT NEBO

Mount Nebo is the mountain where Moses was allowed to see the Holy Land, and not allowed to enter it. Nowadays the mountain is a memorial site.  Here is the “Church of Moses”, built by the first Christians.  Ever since the first days of Christianity this mountain has been a holy place and a destination for pilgrimage. Like Moses, you can have a great view over Jordan, the Dead Sea and Israel. 

Day 3PETRA – WADI RUM - OVERNIGHT

After Breakfast, visit Petra, then proceed to Wadi rum & overnight

The ancient city of Petra was built from 800 BC to 100 AD by Nabetean Arabs.  In this era Petra was a fortress, carved out Of craggy rocks in an area, which was virtually inaccessible, In the first and second century, after the Romans took over, The city reached the Peak of its fame, Petra covers an area of about 100Square km, where over 800 monuments can be found. When shipping slowly displaced caravan routes, the city’s importance gradually dwindled; it fell into disuse and was lost to the world until 1812, when it was Re-discovered by the Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burckhardt. Nowadays Petra is Jordan’s number 1 tourist attraction, known as the “rose-red city half as old as time”.  The Khazneh (the treasury) starred in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Day 4WADI RUM – AMMAN - OVERNIGHT

After Breakfast, in Wadi Rum, safari jeep tour in, continue to Amman and overnight.

Otherwise known as Valley of the Moon, the landscape of Wadi Rum with its Immensity, color and awe-inspiring shapes create an almost supernatural atmosphere. The setting for the film Lawrence of Arabia and the actual location where T.E. Lawrence set his camp, whose book “The Seven Pillars of Wisdom” was named after the seven natural columns varying in height located in route to Wadi Rum. Day 5AMMAN –AHLO EKAHF – MUTTAH BATTLE SITE - AMMAN – OVERNIGHT

After Breakfast, Continue on to the Cave of the 7 Sleepers (Ashab al Kahf) which is mentioned in a Sura in the Holy Qur’an. Continue to visit Kerak city (Battle site if Muttah), The most significant and the fiercest battle fought during Prophet Mohammad’s lifetime was the Battle of Mutah (629 AD). It also took the lives of his closest companions, martyred fighting against a combined Byzantine/Ghassanid army. You can visit the tombs of the venerable companions Zaid ibn Harithah , Ja’far ibn Abi Talib , and Abdullah ibn Ruwahah in the town of Al-Mazar Al-Janubi near Kerak.

Day 6AMMAN CITY TOUR – NABI SHOAIB SHRINE – JORDAN VALLEY COMPANIONS – DEAD SEA - OVERNIGHT

After breakfast, continue to do Amman city to visit: Old & New part of Amman, Down Town, Roman theater, citadel, Al Husseine Mosque, King Hussein Mosque.

then, we drive to Wadi Shuayb, near Salt, to the Shrine of Prophet Shuayb. From here we head to the Jordan Valley, to the tomb of Abu Ubaida Amer bin Al-Jarrah, a relative of Prophet Mohammad, commander of the Northern Muslim Army, and one of the Blessed Ten, to whom Mohammad promised paradise. We then visit the tomb of Moath bin Jabal, who compiled the Holy Quran during the life of Prophet Mohammad, and the tomb of Dear bin Al Azwar.

Return to hotel in dead sea for the night.

Day 7DEAD SEA – JERASH – AMMAN - OVERNIGHT
