An Arunachal Pradesh tour, no matter which part of the state you are visiting is an experience in itself. This tour takes you through some of the most offbeat and enchanting parts of Arunachal Pradesh.
We will pick you up from Guwahati Airport and we will move towards Bhalukpong, which offers some pristine patches of forest where you can explore on foot, old giant trees, the beautiful Himalayan Rivers, JIA BHOROLI or KAMENG. After travelling through these beautiful roads for about 5 hours, we will reach Bhalukpong. Bhalukpong is the entry point to Arunachal and famous for archaeological ruins of King Bhaluka who was the grandfather of King Bana of Mahabharata fame and an ancient ruler of the region. We will show you the places around Bhalukpong, and then check in to our hotel there. Stay will be at Bhalukpong.
After breakfast, we will take you RIVER RAFTING IN JIA BHOROLI (which is optional activity). Then, we will take you to Itanagar, which is the capital of Arunachal Pradesh. During the journey to Itanagar, we will take you to the possible sightseeing spots in the route. The Nyishi tribe of Arunachal Pradesh lives in these parts of the state. On this day, after having breakfast, we will leave for ZIRO through the beautiful hilly roads. On the way pay a visit to TRIBAL NYISHI VILLAGE, where you will get to see their unique bamboo architectures. Ziro is located 5754 feet above the sea level, and it is the headquarter of the Lower Sabunsiri district of Arunachal Pradesh. It is a highland surrounded by Apatani tribal villages of Diibo, Hija, Bulla, Hari and Hong. The uniqueness of Apatani tribe is the tattoos on women & man, and nose rings worn by women. Stay overnight at hotel in Ziro.
After breakfast, we will set out to explore the beautiful landscapes and tribes of Ziro.
ZIRO: This is the place where the Apatani tribe live. Apatani women are known for tattooed faces and big nose plugs. Today we go for a tour in the villages of Apatani tribes namely Bulla village and Hari village. Ziro valley is a picturesque place and when you will see it you will be convinced that it truly deserves the World Heritage Site Award. It is surrounded by the Himalayas and the Patkai range of mountains. Today morning we meet our local guide and accompany you to explore tribal land Ziro.
ZIRO VALLEY: Here you will find beautiful green paddy fields and the astounding mountains covered with pine trees. It is home to wide varieties of flora and fauna. Along with paddy cultivation, fish harvesting is also done here. Today we visit Kile Pakho Ridge, Midge, Pine Grove and Tarin Fish Farm.
APATANI TRIBAL VILLAGES:
In the afternoon we visit the Apatani tribal villages – Hong village, Bulla and Hari villages. Here you will get a glimpse of the everyday life of the amazing people of Ziro.
In the morning we start our journey to Daporijo by road. It takes around 7 hrs to reach Daporijo. Siyom river with its serpentine curves accompanies you in all your journey make the journey fantastic. Enroute visit HILL MIRI TRIBAL VILLAGES and witness their lifestyle and culture very closely.
On arrival at Daporijo, we check in to the hotel. We take several photo breaks and tea breaks during the entire journey and witness the marvel of nature all round the tour.
MEGHANA CAVE TEMPLE: This is a 5000 year old temple and it was rediscovered way back in 1962. This temple is located at an altitude of 300 meters. From here you will get the glimpse of the beautiful place which you will remember for a lifetime. After exploring the Meghana cave temple we shall visit the surrounding places of this beautiful town. Then go to the hotel and stay in the hotel overnight.
Today morning we visit Tagin Tribal villages. We watch their simple lifestyle and vivid culture. Take a short break and then drive to the beautiful picture postcard town of Along. This place is located at a distance of 150 km and it is around 7 hour drive. Check in to the hotel and stay there overnight.
After breakfast, we shall set out to explore this beautiful town.
ADI (GALLONG) TRIBAL VILLAGES: Located at a high attitude these tribal villages are a treat to the eyes. The Adi Gallong tribe and their ways of life are also very amazing. The Galo tribe are the major tribes of this state. They adorn colourful attire and their houses are also typically designed. They exhibit beauty in simplicity.
RAM KRISHNA ASHRAM: This is a beautiful and clean Math located in the beautiful Arunachal Pradesh and is surely worth paying a visit.
Next we shall visit the beautiful hanging bamboo bridge on the Siang River. The speciality of this bridge is that it is made from cane and bamboo. Night Stay in Along
After breakfast, we start our journey to Mechuka which takes around 7 – 8 hrs. Have a short luch break at Tato village and enjoy Siko Dido waterfall. On reaching Mechuka check-in a traditional homestay and take rest. Night Stay in Mechuka
After breakfast, we shall set out to explore Mechuka.
At first we see Hanuman Face and then visit Yarlung Camp which is situated at the height of 7394 feet from sea level. It is located 20 km from the Indo China border til the entry gate civilians are allowed. Later we visit DORJEELING VILLAGE, DZOGCHEN SAMTEN CHOELING MONASTERY known as new Gompa and landmark of Mechuka –THE HANGING BRIDGE. We also visit 400 years old Samten Yangchag Monastery (Old Gompa) later. Night Stay in Mechuka
Today morning we bid adieu to the pristine valley Mechuka and start our return journey to Along. Night Stay in Along.
Post breakfast we shall drive down to the beautiful PASIGHAT. This is located at a distance of 170 km and it is a 6 hour drive from Along. Pasight is the home of PASSI AND MINNYIONG TRIBES.
On arrival to Pasighat check in to a river camp and overnight stay.
CONFLUENCE OF SIANG AND SIYOM RIVER (PANGIN): Located 60km before reaching Pasight we stop at Pangin and see the beautiful union of blue waters of Siyom and the green water of Siang. Take a short photo break and continue our journey. The Siang River is later named as Brahmaputra River and flows through Assam and fall in the Bay of Bengal.
ADI MIYONG TRIBAL VILLAGES: Enroute we visit Yaksi and Panging village which are one of the largest Minyong villages with more than five hundred houses. Night Stay in Pasighat
ADI TRIBES VILLAGES: Today we visit the Adi tribes villages of Pasighat. Adi tribes’ villages are located in picturesque hills which are constructed using bamboo, cane, and thatch hut. You can get an insight of the tribal life and culture of Pasi tribes here.
Next, we shall go to the beautiful Baptist Church and from there go to DONYI-POLO TEMPLE.
DONYI-POLO TEMPLE: Donyi-Polo means the sun and the moon. This is a lovely religious temple where the sun and the moon are worshipped. This is a very popular place for Hindu devotees.
In the evening stroll around in the local market and observe the life of common people.

We begin our return journey to Dibrugarh from Pasighat via newly constructed BOGIBEEL BRIDGE. Night Stay in Dibrugarh
Finally we will drop you by Dibrugarh airport/railway station in accordance and convenience of your departure time, with sweet memories. This marks the end of the Arunachal Pradesh tour. Tour End
