The capital of Bihar is Patna. This is also the largest city in Bihar. Bodhgaya is the place of the Buddha’s Enlightenment and spiritual home of Buddhists. It attracts many believers from all over the world. Bodhgaya situated near the river Niranjana is one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage centres and in the second place of the four holy sites in Buddhism. Rajgir is a site of great sanctity and significance for Buddhists. Rajgir is an important Buddhist pilgrimage site since the Buddha spent 12 years here and the first Buddhist council after the Buddha was hosted here at the Saptaparni cavesNalanda which is 14 km drive and it was one of the oldest Universities of the World and International Centre for Buddhist Studies.
Highlights
After arrival at the Patna railway station or the airport, you will be transferred to your pre-booked hotel. Once there, you can check-in and relax for a while. You may also eat something before venturing out for Patna sightseeing. After you are ready, leave the hotel to head towards the PATNA MUSEUM, where you can take a look at historical relics, artefacts and old documents that tell tales of the city’s rich history. Thereafter, visit KUMHARAR, a famous tourist place containing ruins of the ancient Pataliputra. Pataliputra was one of the oldest inhabited cities and the capital of Magadha kingdom, and at Kumharar, you will find several structures dating back to Pataliputra’s initial days. Also visit to BUDDHA SMRITI PARK & RIVERSIDE GOLGHAR GRANARY, SHRIKRISHNA SCIENCE CENTRE & SANJAY GANDHI BIOLOGICAL PARK.
After sightseeing, head back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive towards the next destination, Gaya. Enroute visit TAKHAT SRI HARIMANDIR JI, PATNA SAHIB (Gurudwara), which is one of the five takhts (PanjTakht) of Sikhism. Also, it is the birthplace of the tenth Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh.
Check in Hotel at Gaya. In the evening; visit to VISHNU PAD TEMPLE and FALGU RIVER, famous for PIND DAAN. Also visit DAKSHINAARKA TEMPLE, MANGLA GAURI TEMPLE, dedicated to Goddess Shakti, is one of the famous Shakti Peethas in India. Stay overnight in Gaya/Bodh Gaya
Today after breakfast start for a trip to Bodhgaya. You can visit MAHABODHI TEMPLE (A WORLD HERITAGE SITE) built by Ashoka the Great in 3rd Century BC. Inside the temple campus, there are seven sacred and important spots where Lord Buddha spent seven days each at one place after attaining enlightenment, than visit the Sacred BODHI TREE. Later visit 80 feet Buddha statue , Metta Buddha Temple , You can also visit Sri Lanka, Thai, Vietnam, and Myanmar MONASTERY.
if you are Buddhist follower you may wish to visit SUJATA MANDIR -The young lady Sujata, daughter of Senani (Head of Uruvela village), had offered Porridge to Siddhartha when he was returning from Dongeswari Caves after 6 long years of meditation and when Siddhartha was still in search for an appropriate place for his meditation of enlightenment, SUJATA STUPA S also visit to Niranjana River. Later Return back to Gaya for an Overnight stay
After early morning breakfast at the hotel, embark on beautiful journey to RAJGIR while having an experience of the countryside area. On the way to Rajgir, stop at GEHLAUR VILLAGE, the home of the legendary ‘MOUNTAIN MAN’ Dashrath Manjhi, man who worked for 22 years and carved a path through a mountain. Visit DASHRATH MANJHI MEMORIAL.
Later visit NALANDA UNIVERSITY RUINS, NALANDA ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM, HIUEN TSANG MEMORIAL HALL and KUNDALPUR a famous pilgrim centre of Jainism.
Later in Rajgir you will visit the VISHWA SHANTI STUPA, GRIDHHAKUTA also known as THE VULTURE PEAK, also known as the Holy Eagle Peak or Gádhrakúta, was the Buddha’s favorite retreat in Rajagaha (now Rajgir) and the scene for many of his discourses. You will get a chance to visit the HOT SPRING OF RAJGIR CALLED BRAHM KUND, which has high medicinal benefit specially for the patient of skin diseases, BIMBISAR JAIL, The Cyclopean Wall SWARN BHANDAR CAVES , JARASSANDHA KA AKHADA Shankhalipi Inscriptions considered of MAHABHARATA era and GHORA KATORA LAKE.

Later head towards Patna, enroute you have option of visiting PAVAPURI, JAL MANDIR also known as APAPURI is a scared Jain pilgrimage. Lord Mahavira, the final Tirthankara of Jainism, breathed his last at this place, and was cremated here around 500 B.C, proceed to Patna airport/railway station for onward journey
